DIY :: Metallic Fruit

The easiest DIY around - just paint fake fruit, let dry and assemble! The end result looks great in almost any container or the fruit can stand on its own. Regardless of how you choose to style, these painted beauties are the perfect addition to table centerpieces year round.

Tip: Throw in potpourri for an added touch. If you're giving as a gift, a bag of nice potpourri completes the package.

Directions after the jump!

Materials Needed:

1. Vases or containers to hold fruit
2. Fake fruit
3. Liquid Leaf paint (Available at Michaels)
4. Potpourri

Paint fruit with your choice of liquid leaf color(s).
I chose three colors for my fruit - Gold, Bronze and Silver - because I didn't want my fruit to be too similar to each other and wanted different metallics to be present.
After the paint has dried, gently place the fruit in vases. Mix in potpourri throughout.

PS :: Have extra fruit?
Make ornaments!
