Anne's My Girl

While exploring Lucky Magazine, I came across an article that discussed celebrity-designer pairings. Naturally, the face of a brand has a profound impact on its image. The article paired fashion brands with who they thought their perfect celebrity face would be (Taylor Swift for Ralph Lauren and Emma Watson for Christopher Kane, to name a few) which got me thinking: Who would Isn't That Charming's celebrity representation be?

There are a few key characteristics that, to me, would represent my blog well. I would want someone who has their own style, is fashion forward but isn't a slave to trends. An artistic mind with a down-to-earth mentality. Someone who likes getting crafty but still appreciates a fabulous investment piece. Someone bold and unapologetic with a pleasant disposition. Someone who likes to laugh and doesn't take themselves too seriously. Someone like...

Now it's your turn! What celebrity do you feel embodies your "brand"?

  1. What a good question, Emily! I've always been seen as the "girl next door", so I'd probably say Lauren Conrad. She's the sweet girl that ever girl wants to be friends with. She worked her ass off to go from a nobody to a huge star. She had her fair share of girl and boy drama and came through strong. I can appreciate all those things- plus her amazing hair, makeup and fashion choices!

  2. whoa! This is such a good question.. but I'd need some serious time to think about it. I'd want someone who enjoys life and wants to try everything at least once. Someone who is laid back and fun, easy to get along with, but still strong and makes her own choices. Someone who could enjoy being at home and trying a silly project just as much as dressing up for a night out ..After writing these out the first name that popped into my head was Jennifer Lawrence but I don't think I'm funny enough for her haha

  3. Love love love Anne–I think she's the perfect fit for your celeb representation. I don't really know who mine would be, but I'd like to throw Emma Stone in the running. Simply because I think she's insanely amazing, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be cool enough to hang with her!

  5. Oh fun! I love Anne, great choice! Hmm.. I don't really know who I'd pick for myself... maybe Rachel Bilson. I think she's beautiful. And she's got effortless style but she's never over the top or too dramatic with her styling, which is what I most identify with. :)

  7. for me, my blog is not so much a brand, as a writer's voice.... i would imagine a hybrid of emma watson with lorrie moore, the author.

  11. That's a tough one, I'd have to think about that for a minute...maybe Rachel Bilson, because I've had a girl crush on her since the O.C. & I love her style. I feel like she'd just be funny & goofy in real life, which I adore.:)

  14. Anne H. is pretty awesome. What a fun question...I think my pick would be Lauren Conrad. I admire her style and everything about her. She has handled her fame very well...avoiding drama and the all the crazy stuff that comes with it. She always looks fab and has classic taste. I am sure there are others too but that's who I pick, for now! :)

  15. I love that you decided to put your own spin on the article with your own celebrity - gotta love Anne Hathaway who's so down-to-earth yet glamorous when she wants to be. For my style, and my blog, I'm going to have to go with Emma Stone. Silly and funny and light hearted. :)

  22. this is seriously such a great post and a really wonderful idea. i think this question is intestine in that you learn more about yourself while thinking about it. but also, in that it helps sort of steer your blog in a creative direction which is always helpful, as exactly like you said, we are our own brand. i love anne so i really do not think you could go wrong here with having her as your "Isn't That Charming" choice. i am not sure of mine. i will have to think about it!

  24. Nice post!! and this is a though question.
Hard to say!! I identify with Kate Hudson, smiley, happy and we have similar bodies (no boobs and a booty).
I would also say Rachel McAdams for the same reasons.
    :)

  30. Audrey Tautou. Pure class, can look either just totally cute or scorching hot, and I'm sure she'd look good in anything.

  32. I really don't do celebrities and brands combos - I actually often lose interest in a brand or their product if they use a celebrity to advertise them. x

  33. Wow, this post is brilliant. I guess we can't deny we are in advertising, right? Actually I might create a similiar post -crediting u, of course! And Anne is adorable. I admire her so much! xo,
