Braided Pony & A Red Dress

On a normal day I would have kept this Free People dress elegant and simple. After all, it carries itself. Black heels, simple jewelry and a classic up do would have been lovely.

But on the morning of "the red dress" I was feeling quite adventurous. I pulled my hair into a braided pony, threw on some tights + boots, and layered some off-the-wall necklaces to create this combo. While the plaid-combat-boots-and-dress is not a typical fashion feat that I strive for, on this particularly dull Monday I felt the need to spice things up.

And so I added a little pepper to my stew.
What say ye? Is this look one to be repeated?
