Paris Street Style
Have you ever been to a city that just resonates with you? Every step of exploring unknown streets leads you deeper and deeper into wonder. The more you learn, the more you want to know. The more you know, the more you want to be a part of it. Paris was that city for me. I was enthralled from the moment I stepped off the plane.
The city itself is splendid, but it was the people who impressed me most. Nearly everyone I saw was well put together and displayed a seemingly effortless beauty. I'd always heard the term "Parisian chic" but didn't realize what it meant until I saw it with my own eyes. My visit to Paris was when my interest in fashion took off - until then, Ugg boots and North Face jackets were constant staples as I dressed predominately for comfort. It was Paris that opened my eyes to fashion and style being a form of expression; an art form within itself.
I've watch Paris from afar ever since. Paris Fashion Week has been well documented in magazines and fashion blogs but the above street style pictures from Refinery 29 really caught my eye. They capture Parisian style perfectly - casual yet elegant, with a mix of flattering basics, and always an aura of confidence.
Do you admire the Parisians as much as I do?
