Charms

:: Meanderings from life + the interwebs ::
:: Create :: This DIY floral necklace from Happiness Is Creating is so unique. I love how bold the flowers are - a true spring statement!

:: Read :: This week Wall Street Journal discussed Tactics To Spark Creativity, which I learned a few things from. For instance, did you know that gazing at the color green can spark new thoughts, or that moderate drinking helps your brain notice environmental cues or signs that a sober brain normally blocks out? Time to get out that glass of wine!

:: Admire ::  Speaking of creativity and wine, how beautiful is the above painting? I came across a new artist, Elena Ilku, whose talent is baffling. This picture would look lovely in a kitchen, wouldn't it?

:: Bedtime Debunking :: Wait, what? You don't necessarily need 8 hours of sleep a night?! Whelp, that's good news for my sleep-deprived self. On another note, this wood bed frame looks like a totally doable DIY project. The wheels are turning...

:: Mix & Match :: TimeOut Chicago had a fun feature on spring trends this week. It's a perfect little overview on the season's must-try fashion statements.

:: Click Through ::
:: On Saturday I'm going to a Soles for Souls event at the Nature Museum. Any Chicagoans attending?
:: Taylor Swift launched a Keds shoe collection. Thoughts?
:: Alaina's home tour in The Everygirl was filled with so much decor eye candy. I love her style.
:: Lollapalooza announced their line-up!
