If I could wear it everyday I would. It incorporates all of my style staples - a scarf, vintage jewelry (those earrings were my grandma's), pops of color, chic touches (I love these nude heels), and braids (Come on, get Little House On The Prairie off your mind. When done right, braids rock.) Best, it's comfortable while remaining stylish, which is an oh-so underrated combination if you ask me.
As much as I find trends fun to keep up with, I believe it's developing personal style that is most worthy of exploring in fashion. Dressing is an expression. An art form. Like it or not, the way you present yourself helps to shape other people's perception of you.
This is something that I didn't think much about before, but in the past few years, it's become more important to me. Not because I think that looks are everything - they are not - but because I want the way that I dress to reflect who I am.
So, back to personal style. We all have one, and while I'm still discovering mine and believe it's ever-evolving, I think I've come far in that journey. Right now I'd define it as "Classy city girl meets boho chic" - a modern, all american vibe that's infused with a touch of bohemian free spirit. It's a mouthful and complete mixture of opposing things. But what can I say? I am too.
How would you describe your personal style? What are your style staples that you love to bring into any outfit?
