First up is this adorable polka dot dress. With a few weddings on the horizon I wanted something that was comfortable, chic, and made with fabric that was light so that I wouldn't be too hot during outdoor ceremonies. As soon as I saw this dress, I knew I'd found my match. My dots like to polka, and this is clearly the perfect dance partner. Better yet? You can pair it with heels or sandals, which is a necessity if you're like me and frequently bust out the moonwalk on the dance floor.
The one drawback of polka dots is that they can be too safe if you don't jazz them up a bit. To add some funk, I paired the dress with silver metallic heels with small spikes on the back. I felt very Jackie-O-Meets-Biker-Chic, which was a combination that I found particularly awesome.
A gold, silver and pearl braided necklace to tie in the metallic silver heels completed the look. With so many statements working together, I kept my earrings to simple studs and my arms bare. You can over-accessorize, which I try to be mindful of, especially when dressing for a classy event like a wedding.
