Before kicking off August, I thought I'd start by giving a fond farewell to the travel and fun-filled July that I'm leaving behind.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I've been here, there and everywhere!
July started with a trip to New York City, where we had two weddings on the weekend of the 4th. One was on a pier overlooking the Statue of Liberty, and the other was in The Green Building in Brooklyn - both were unbelievably beautiful and unique. In between all the celebrating, we were able to squeeze in a trip to the Brooklyn Brewery, visiting the 9/11 Memorial, brunches, and drinks with friends at the Frying Pan.
There were also two weekends that I've been in my favorite place on earth: Pure Michigan. My girlfriends and I were in Traverse City for a bachelorette party, which was filled with boating, sunshine, a casino trip, and side cramps from laughing so much. And, just this past weekend, I was with my family for a few days on the lake, enjoying the sound of the waves and fabulous company.
Rest assured, all that travel doesn't mean I haven't been enjoying the city, too! Last weekend, Doug and I went to another wedding, this time at an adorable brewery in Lake Barrington. Between blogger networking events, weekly volleyball & softball games, and a work summer party at the Wit rooftop, I've been able to squeeze in a few concerts. My July concert tally is looking pretty impressive as I saw Beyonce and Jay-Z, Brett Eldredge at the Windy City Smokeout, St. Lucia at the Tech Conference, and tonight my work teammates and I are VIPers at VEVO Lift Live.
Phew! I need a nap. But not until August is over, because in the upcoming month we have Lollapalooza, my good friend Kristen's wedding (In Michigan, yay!), my niece's baptism, a trip to Saugatuck and lots more adventure in the works. Head over to Instagram for snaps of it all along the way!
